A quiet relaxing retreat for families, multi generation groups or friends and couples getting together for a celebration.
Celebratete a special occasion, with maybe a private chef and dinner party one night, or just enjoy a quiet break away from it all! With a large hot tub, enclosed garden, outside dining, games room and the ultimate in privacy.
Dingle Dell is doggie friendly for up to 3 dogs, they even get their own lounge in “The Dog House.” This is a log cabin games room with a large sofa where you can all relax together, especially useful if doggies need a little drying off time after some adventures in the farm stream.
Romans, Normans, Vikings, Tudors, and add a few saints and ghosts into the mix. We’ve created a couple of walks right from your doorstep where you can combine visiting some local highlights, both walks have a midway at some local, doggie friendly, pubs!
If staying a bit longer there is so much to do around here, with the Yorkshire Coast and the David Hockney country of the Yorkshire Wolds literally surrounding you. For the latest, LOOK HERE.
Riverbank Farm is a Net Zero site. We achieve this in a number of ways.
we generate a large amount of renewable energy using solar; more than we need during the day. We export the surplus, and then buy back from other renewable sources at night. In addition, we keep our emissions low. Ground source heat pumps are used for heating the properties and air source heat pumps assist in the heating of the hot tubs. The company uses EVs where possible, to further utilise the sites zero emissions energy production. Rainwater is harvested and used for toilets and garden irrigation dramatically reducing mains water consumption.
The properties are well insulated with underfloor heating, with a mixture of double glazing and triple glazing, plus Dingle Dell has heat recovery ventilation. Waste is collected by a commercial company who split the waste, recycle where possible and send the balance to an energy form waste plant. Our target is zero waste to landfill. Guests don’t need to segregate waste.
We have planted over 3000 trees on the site and have 10 acres of low input meadow that capture large amounts of carbon.
We are continuing to encourage biodiversity, planting native species and have beehives to assist. Don’t worry, they are not in your garden!
The almost 200 acres includes 10 acres of low input meadow. Amongst other environmental benefits, this creates a thatch which is a haven for small and furry creatures, which in turn creates a habitat for birds of prey, including our resident barn owls and kestrels whom you are likely see on your visit. You will notice a number of posts and nesting boxes around the fields to cater to the various species we host at Riverbank Farm. So, if photography is your thing, bring your long lens!
Your check-in time is strictly 4PM, to allow for a thorough changeover from guests leaving on the same day.
We can occasionally arrange an early check-in. So please contact us if you plan to arrive early and we'll do our best to accommodate you (we can’t promise, unfortunately).
Check-out time is strictly 10AM
If we have guests arriving that day it will be almost impossible to offer a late check-out due to the cleaners needing to prepare for those guests. All grounds maintenance also takes place on changeover days so it wouldn't be particularly restful anyway!
This is a smoke-free home, and the alarms are very sensitive. Please do not smoke in any of the buildings; this includes cigarettes and vapes. Also, please don't discard cigarette butts etc. especially into the fields as this can cause serious fires.
